Online Assessment
Introductory Phase
To get a brief awareness about the topic going to learn please look click the link . watch the video carefully.

Heart – Structure
The organ that powers the circulatory system is the heart.
Humans have a 4-chambered heart.
The upper two atria and lower two ventricles.
A human heart pumps blood through four chambers.
The heart is separated into right and left halves by a layer of muscle tissue called the septum.
There are two types of valves in the heart.
Atrioventricular valves- These separate the atria from the ventricles.

Find out the concepts explaining in the video about heart. Write your responses here.

Review Your Mind
Explain Briefly The Structure Of Heart ?
Where is the position of Tricuspid valve ?
Where you can find out the Semilunar valves ?
 What is Septum ?
Which is the organ that powers Heart ?

Draw the diagram of heart and mark its parts
Developmental Phase
Go through the following links and try to develop more ideas about heart.

Double Circulatory System
The basis of our double circulatory system is all about oxygen.
When one cycle of blood circulation is completed, a fixed quantity of blood flows through the heart twice.
Thus the circulation is called double circulatory system
The first system is called the systemic circulation.
In this the oxygenated blood moves from the heart to our body, where it transfer oxygen to our muscles, tissues and organs.
The second system is called the  pulmonary circulation.
Here, deoxygenated blood moves from the heart to the lungs, where it transfer carbon dioxide and picks up oxygen.

Concluding Phase
Watch the videos of the following link , collect a brief idea about heart,

Review Your Mind
·    Explain Double Circulatory System?
·     What are the Advantage Of  Double Circulatory System?
·    Which is the basis for Double Circulatory System?

Draw a concept map on the ideas that you were learned today.

Follow –up Activity
Prepare a digital album after collecting pictures, videos, animation, relating to heart, its structure. And upload the album on a blog.
